With all that has transpired, I am embarrassed to admit that I did not know it was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. It is stunning that a mention in conversation of Jade's cricumstances leads to another story of another child battling cancer. The degree of connection is overwhelming and the sense of prevalence begs many questions -- most of them big and ponderous.
